Park Construction
ILR has completed a number of public park construction projects in the Okanagan. These parks have contained sensitive riparian habitat construction such as stream and wetlands. As well as steep slope restoration, culvert installation, trail design and development. We have played a significant role in xeriscaping with the use of native (indigenous) plant species. Through the use of proper species selection, we have, in some areas completely avoided the use of irrigation and strive to build areas with zero water use.
Trail construction projects have been completed in conjunction with parks as well as independent. Types of trails range from single, narrow walking paths on natural soil, wider crusher chip trails and asphalt covered. Many of these trails have been through sensitive zones, forested areas, steep terrain and grasslands.
Hardware such as benches, trash receptacles and light standards has also been included.
